Norwich-based fire & security specialists
Roof void fire curtains installed to BM TRADA guidelines across Norfolk.
Our roof void fire curtains create a continuous fire-resistant barrier within lofts and attic spaces, preventing fire from spreading through open roof structures, following the contours of the roof, trusses and framework even around complex junctions. We install them in accordance with BM TRADA guidelines wherever possible, ensuring every curtain is fitted, sealed and supported to a verifiable, audited standard.
Roof void fire curtains create fire-resistant compartmentation within attic and loft spaces, forming a sealed barrier that prevents fire and smoke travelling through open truss voids, essential where open roof structures would otherwise allow rapid fire spread.
Fire curtains must be fixed directly to the roof structure using certified brackets, clamps or fixing rails, following the shape of the rafters and trusses, with all edges fully sealed and penetrations securely wrapped and fire-stopped. Correct installation is critical, as gaps or loose fixings will compromise the fire rating.
